About Us

The ashram is the largest of its kind dating back to 300 years. The 150 acre gated premise is breathtakingly beautiful. Built like a fort, the entrance, though ancient, is mesmerizing and provides the entrants a taste of the strong spirituality that is a way of life in the ashram.

Inside the ashram is the sacred Gurusar Lake. It is in this lake that Lord Shri Ram, his wife Sita and brother Laxman took a dip before attiring in valkal or the tribal clothes and proceeding for 14 years Vanvas. The holy Hindu scripture Ramayan states that at the behest of Queen Kaikai, King Dasrath had given Exile Order to his son Ram to the forest for 14 years which is called as Vanvas. Lord Shri Ram’s wife Sita and youngest brother Laxman accompanied Ram by their own will. Today the beautiful Gurusar lake is surrounded by a huge farm and attracts tourists and pilgrims alike.

Another piece of historical value that can be found in the ashram is the stone map of old Ranopali area which was probably carved hundreds of years ago.

The services of the ashram extended not only to the district of Ayodhya and to the entire state of Uttar Pradesh only but the people from all corners of the country come here seeking blessings and spiritual awareness. The ashram houses a temple, dining hall, satsang or prayer hall, a library and 40 rooms for accommodations for visitors. Services of social importance conducted by the ashram include educational services, where kids learn Ved,  Shastra, Jyotish and Vyakaran. A cattle farming consists of more than 100 Cows and Calves. Ashram has own agricultural farming in its premises.
